Gym Passes

What are Gym Passes?

Gym Passes stores your gym membership cards inside FitSum so you don't need a separate wallet app or physical card at the door.

Each pass can display:

  • Your member ID (as a QR code for supported gym types, or text)
  • Your PIN (for PIN-pad entry systems)
  • A photo of your physical card (optional)

Adding a gym pass

Tap the + button on the Gym Passes screen to add a new pass.

Fill in:

  • Display name — How the pass is labelled in the list (e.g. "PureGym Shoreditch")
  • Gym type (optional) — Your gym (free text)
  • Member ID — Your membership number or ID code
  • PIN — Your entry PIN (optional)
  • Generate QR code — For supported gym types (e.g. PureGym), generate a QR code from your member ID; otherwise the ID is shown as text
  • Card photo — Optionally take or select a photo of the physical card

Tap Save to add the pass.

Displaying a pass at the door

Tap a pass in the list to open it full-screen. The display automatically brightens your screen to maximum brightness for easier scanning, then restores your previous brightness level when you dismiss the pass.

Setting a default pass

If you go to one gym most often, set that pass as your default — it's the first one shown when you open Gym Passes.

Tap a pass → Set as default, or tap the star icon in the pass list.

Editing or deleting a pass

Tap a pass to open it, then tap the edit icon (pencil) in the top right. Change any field and tap Save.

To delete: open the pass, tap the edit icon, then tap Delete pass at the bottom. This cannot be undone.

Privacy note

QR codes and barcodes are generated entirely on your device from the member ID you entered. The code is never sent to FitSum's servers or any third party. Your member ID and PIN are stored in your encrypted account data — see Data & Privacy for details on how your data is protected.
